Police said the girl walked away from a University Boulevard residence Saturday. JSO is investigating.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) said at 11 a.m. Sunday an 11-year-old girl reported missing has been found safe.

Police said that late Saturday the 11-year-old was reported to have walked away from her residence near the 5800 block of University Boulevard and she was not been seen or heard from by family. Officers were searching throughout the morning.

JSO said that she met up with two 13-year-old girls overnight and they were seen together in the “San Marco/Southbank area” around 1:30 a.m. She was wearing a black jacket with a white “eagle” on front/back and black leggings, police said.
