Lee Jr. is now confronted with 11 felony charges, one of which includes first-degree murder.

The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s office announced that Lee Jr. is scheduled to appear in court again next Thursday.

The surviving victim’s mother was nearby during the second attack and tried to help. She spoke to ABC7 by phone anonymously on Wednesday.

“There were hitting each other,” she said. “The guy got my son on the floor, so I got out of the car and I was trying to get him away from my son so he couldn’t hit my son anymore.”

The Kendall County Major Crimes Task Force was activated to assist with the investigation and processing of the scene.
