The Black Women’s Expo returned for a milestone 30th year and is celebrating all of what it means to be an African-American woman.
It is a celebration and then some as the event return to McCormick place.
The three-day extravaganza is the nations’ longest running annual expo for Black women and their families.
The gathering celebrates the sisterhood among women of color while highlighting Black culture and community.
Originally known as “An Expo for Today’s Black Woman,” the program is now named “B-We-Next” and was first created to showcase products and services to African-American women in the Chicago area.

This year, not only will the expo’s signature brunch event Bagels and Bosses return, but there was also a special pavilion featuring Men’s Den, along with historically Black sororities. Like in year’s past, the event features hundreds of exhibitors, seminars and panel discussions, as well as celebrity guest speakers.
And while the expo has remained a resource for Black women, for some, it’s become more than that. It’s community.
Plans are already in the works for next year.
The event wraps up Sunday.
