CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A woman is dead and a man is seriously injured after a collision between an SUV and a pickup truck in Clay County Sunday morning, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.
Around 4:10 a.m., an agency crash report said a pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old Jacksonville man was heading west on County Road 218 while an SUV driven by a 21-year-old Macclenny woman was heading south toward C.R. 218 on Nolan Road.
The report said the truck entered the path of the SUV, which collided with the driver’s side corner of the truck’s front bumper.
Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt, according to FHP. The woman was pronounced dead on scene, the report said.
Three people were killed in separate crashes Sunday morning in Flagler County. A 54-year-old motorcyclist was killed on A1A after hitting a median and two teens were killed after striking a bridge railing on County Road 304.
