JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 68-year-old woman was arrested after stabbing an elderly man to death inside a senior living facility in Jacksonville, the sheriff’s office announced Wednesday.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called to a senior living facility on Norfolk Boulevard early Tuesday morning and found 73-year-old Robert Trucker in the lobby of the facility with multiple stab wounds. He passed away at the scene.

JSO said officers followed a trail of blood from Tucker to a unit at the facility where they found the suspect, Carol Carroll.

After speaking with Carroll and reviewing evidence at the property, homicide detectives arrested her and charged her with Tucker’s murder.

JSO said early investigation determined Carroll and Tucker knew each other prior to the incident.
