Tragedy struck the family of Tommy Lee Jones as his late daughter, Victoria, was reportedly feared to have died from an overdose at a San Francisco hotel. This somber news came to light through a 911 audio recording.
Victoria Jones, aged 34, became the subject of an emergency response after being identified as a ‘code 3 for the overdose, color change’ by San Francisco Fire and EMS dispatch, as reported by the Daily Mail. The incident occurred at the Fairmont Hotel on New Year’s Day, casting a shadow over the celebrations.
In emergency service terms, a code 3 situation indicates an urgent need for immediate intervention, prompting the use of flashing lights and sirens by responders.
The distress call was made shortly before 3 a.m. on January 1, as emergency teams rushed to the scene. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to revive Victoria, and she was declared dead at the hotel.
While the initial 911 call suggested a possible drug overdose, authorities noted that no drug paraphernalia was discovered near her body, leaving questions about the circumstances surrounding her untimely death.
Police sources also told the Daily Mail that there were no signs of foul play or trauma to Jones’s body.
Investigators have refused to speculate on a possible cause of death with an autopsy now set to determine how Jones died.Â
Jones was lying on the ground of the 14th floor of the Fairmont hotel in San Francisco when a guest who thought she might be drunk alerted hotel staff, a source told the Daily Mail.Â

The staffers quickly realized Victoria was unresponsive and immediately started CPR and called for an ambulance.Â
It remains unclear whether Victoria was a guest at the hotel or how she came to be on the 14th floor, according to the Daily Mail’s insider.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department is now asking anyone with information about Victoria’s untimely death to contact the department.Â
‘On 1/1/26 at approximately 3:14 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel located on the 900 block of Mason street regarding a report of a deceased person,’ the spokesperson said.
‘At the scene, officers met with medics, who declared the adult female deceased. The Medical Examiner arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.’
Victoria – the daughter of Jones and his second wife Kimberlea Cloughley, whom he was married to from 1981 to 1996 – performed in her first acting role as a child.
By 2002, she made her movie debut with a small part in her father’s picture Men in Black II.
She would go on to appear in a handful of acting projects as a child, including a 2005 episode of One Tree Hill and a role that same year the Western picture The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which was directed by her father.

Although she has not acted onscreen since her role as a cheerleader on One Tree Hill, she has attended the occasional red carpet alongside Jones as an adult.
In 2017, she posed proudly at his side at the ArcLight Hollywood for the premiere of his movie Just Getting Started, also starring Morgan Freeman and Rene Russo.
She also made an appearance with her father in October 2017 at the opening of that year’s Tokyo International Film Festival, where he was serving as president of the international competition jury.
Victoria is survived by Jones, Cloughley and her brother, Austin.
The Daily Mail has contacted Tommy Lee Jones’s representatives for comment, as well as the Fairmont San Francisco and the San Francisco Police Department.
