LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Seven missing children were found in Las Vegas during the “Big Search Missing & Exploited Children Task Force Operation” in early February.

The F.R.E.E. International Organization conducted the multi-agency operation focusing on locating juveniles identified as victims of human trafficking as well as those who are missing or endangered. The operation took place Feb. 2 through Feb. 7.

During the operation, the task force located seven missing children, and several intelligence leads were submitted to area law enforcement working on exploitation-related cases.

The initiative was hosted by the UNLV Tourist Safety Institute at Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, which provided insights into resources to enhance future operations.

Resources were made available to the victims with the goal of empowering their transition from victims to survivors.

The task force was comprised of multiple law enforcement agencies and organizations including, the Nevada Department of Public Safety/State Police (Nevada Highway Patrol, Nevada Parole and Probation, and Nevada Division of Investigations), UNLV Police Department, Clark County Family Services, At-Risk Youth Services (CCFS-ARYS), Clark County School District Police Department (CCSDPD), Clark County Department of Juvenile Justice Services, City of Las Vegas Marshals, Protective Force International (PFI), and Security Alliance for Survivors. Additional community partners include MGMRI Emergency Response Team, Boyd Gaming, The Orleans Security, International Church of Las Vegas, Liberty Baptist Church, City Impact Center, Trinity Life Center, and the Good News Club of Southern Nevada.

In November, affiliate KLAS reported that the task force located eight missing children during another operation conducted by the F.R.E.E International Organization in Las Vegas.
