Silver Alert issued in Jacksonville for missing person David Lynn Johnson

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for 61-year-old David Lynn Johnson, and they say they’re concerned for his safety.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing man they say might be in danger, and they’re asking the public for help finding him Friday.

In a news release, JSO said officers are looking for 61-year-old David Lynn Johnson, who was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Lem Turner Road and Broward Road.

JSO was contacted around 11:45 p.m. Thursday after his family didn’t see him return home, and began searching, alerting the public around 2:30 a.m. Friday. As of 8 a.m., he was still missing.

He’s believed to be driving a silver 2017 Hyundai Tucson with the Florida tag “REVE09.” 

Police say Johnson has been diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and is showing signs of dementia. He’s 5’6″ tall and 180 lbs. He also will be wearing all red. 

Anyone who has seen or who may know Mr. Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.
