Jimmy Kimmel is taking an involuntary hiatus.
ABC has declared that it is withdrawing the comedian’s late-night talk show from the air “indefinitely” after the host’s controversial remarks concerning the death of Charlie Kirk.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely,” an ABC spokesperson confirmed to The Post on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Kimmel, aged 57, received backlash on Monday night after asserting that the “MAGA gang” was attempting to gain political leverage from Kirk’s murder, following the conservative activist’s shooting on the Utah Valley University campus in Orem, Utah, on September 10.
“We reached some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to portray this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything but one of them,” Kimmel remarked during his monologue.
