Justice for Charlie Kirk will come from ‘religious revival’: Megyn Kelly

() Justice for slain conservative political activist Charlie Kirk won’t come from a courtroom but through a “religious revival” and an influx in Turning Point USA members, according to political commentator Megyn Kelly.

“(Justice) can’t be found in a courtroom,” she said on ’s “Batya!” hosted by Batya Ungar-Sargon. “Something will happen there, but it can only be found in the religious revival that people are feeling right now … the 54,000 applications for new Turning Point chapters that they say they’ve gotten from college and high school students alike.”

Kelly said Kirk’s death has the potential to be a lightning rod moment for conservatism.

“If (Kirk) exponentially increases especially young people’s relationship with God and their faith he will consider his life well lived. He said it himself, he wishes to be remembered for ‘courage to my faith.’”

Kirk, who was a close friend of Kelly, was fatally shot on a Utah college campus while speaking to a crowd.

Authorities have said the 22-year-old Utah man accused in last week’s fatal shooting of Kirk planned for at least a week before firing a single shot at the conservative activist from a rooftop on a college campus.

Tyler Robinson is charged with aggravated murder and other crimes. He appeared briefly on Tuesday before a judge by video from jail. He remains jailed without bond and faces the death penalty if convicted.

Robinson is believed to have targeted Kirk based on the activist’s political expression.
