A Pennsylvania mother accused of killing her husband and their 3-year-old son during a family trip to Great Wolf Lodge had reportedly said she never wanted to become a parent and resented the child for taking her husband’s attention, according to disturbing claims outlined in a search warrant.
Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, was described by relatives as “dominant” and “controlling.” Family members also told investigators that she felt resentment toward her son and had said she never wanted to become pregnant.
“Harrison made statements about the child taking away one-on-one time between her and Charles,” investigators wrote in the search-warrant application obtained by WNEP.

The application also alleges that Harrison had “isolated” her husband’s family from him and his son.
Harrison is accused of stabbing both her husband and son in the chest before attempting to take her own life.
Police responding to the Poconos resort Monday afternoon reportedly heard Harrison say she was “suicidal, not stupid.” She then refused to provide further details, according to investigators.

As emergency medical workers treated her, Harrison allegedly lamented that she had been the “best mother,” according to a police affidavit.
“Every day I work so hard. To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife,” she reportedly told EMS personnel.
“It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child,” Harrison reportedly said.
During the ambulance ride, she repeatedly told responders that she was “not supposed to be here,” the affidavit states.
