An Afghan individual was apprehended this week after sharing a TikTok video that allegedly showed him constructing a bomb intended for an attack in the Fort Worth region of Texas, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to Fox News.

According to court documents, Mohammad Dawood Alokozay faces state-level charges for making a terroristic threat.

The DHS revealed that Alokozay entered the United States through Operation Allies Welcome, an initiative launched by the Biden administration to resettle Afghans following the U.S. military’s exit from Afghanistan in the summer of 2021.

Similarly, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, accused of shooting two National Guard members in Washington, D.C., earlier this week, also came to the U.S. under this program.

Alokozay was arrested on Tuesday – one day before the shooting in Washington, D.C. – by the Texas Department of Public Safety and an FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force in a coordinated law enforcement effort.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has since lodged a detainer on Alokozay following his arrest.
