(WFRV) Amidst ‘extreme winds’ in central Wisconsin, authorities are reminding ice fishers to check on their ice shacks.
The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page advising that multiple ice shacks were blowing around local lakes. Two pictures were included with the post, showing one shack in open water and another on the side of a road.

Officials said that if the ice shack is not where you left it, to look east.
As you would expect with the extreme winds today, the ice shacks are blowing around the local lakes. If you have a shack on a lake, you may want to check on it. If it’s not where you left it… look east of the last known location.
