Air Force fighter jets were scrambled to intercept a plane that entered restricted airspace near President Joe Biden’s residence in Wilmington, Delaware.

The United States Secret Service released a statement which read: ‘Shortly after 2 pm, a civilian aircraft violated restricted airspace north of Wilmington, Delaware. 

‘As a precaution, assets were scrambled to intercept and the civilian aircraft safely landed at a nearby airport.

‘There were no impacts to the protectee’s movements as a result of this incident and agents from the US.’

This is a developing story.
