ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — No injuries were reported Friday afternoon after a small plane crash-landed on U.S. 1 near the Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine, according to crews with St. Johns County Fire Rescue. 

First responders also said no fuel leaks were reported in the emergency landing, which occurred near Island Landing Drive, just north of the airport. 

The plane, a single-engine Cessna 150F, was flying from Greenville, South Carolina, bound for St. Augustine, according to flight tracking data on FlightAware.com. 

According to FAA registration data, the plane is registered to a man with a Niagara County, New York, address.

Chris Naff, a spokesperson with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, said the call came in around 3:30 p.m., and the cause is still under investigation. Naff said the Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.

St. Johns Fire Rescue’s Facebook post said drivers should avoid the area as crews are still on scene.
