This week at the Valspar Championship, Alejandro Tosti is making waves both on and off the golf course. The Argentine golfer isn’t just focused on his game; he’s also sending a clear message about his personal life.

During the opening round on Thursday in Palm Harbor, Florida, Tosti drew attention with his unique approach to the tournament’s customized caddie bibs. Instead of the usual information, his bib boldly declared, “NEEDS A WIFE,” letting spectators know he’s in the market for a significant other.

“There was some confusion, with folks wondering if it was my caddie who needed a wife,” Tosti clarified in a video released by the PGA Tour. “But no, it’s actually me,” the 29-year-old confirmed with a smile.

When asked what he could offer a potential Mrs., Tosti replied, “A lot of good stuff.”

“I love cooking, I can fly airplanes, play golf and have fun,” he said.

Tosti, who turned pro in 2018, finished an even 71 in the first round as he seeks his first PGA Tour win.

With Tosti focused on Friday’s second round, others are cheering on his personal endeavors from afar, including fast food chains.

In an Instagram Story Thursday, Tosti shared a written fortune cookie from Panda Express that offered support for his romantic future.

“You will meet your future wife soon,” the message from the restaurant read.

Tosti replied that he was “#manifesting.”

The bib worn by Tosti’s caddie isn’t the only personalized accessory that has drawn eyeballs at the Valspar Championship in recent years.

In 2024, Scottish golfer Robert MacIntyre gave his American rivals a friendly reminder of the 2023 Ryder Cup score by posting “EUR16.5-11.5USA” on his caddie’s bib.

American David Lipsky currently leads the 2026 Valspar Championship with a total of 8-under through 18 on Friday.
