Alex Jones says murder of InfoWars reporter was political 'hit'

Justice Department has been urged by Alex Jones to look into the death of InfoWars journalist Jamie White, suggesting the possibility of an assassination.

During a conversation on ‘The Benny Show’ podcast with political commentator Benny Johnson, the 51-year-old conspiracy theorist discussed the circumstances surrounding the reporter’s demise.

White, aged 36, was discovered fatally injured outside his residence in Austin, Texas, on Sunday evening while attempting to thwart thieves attempting to break into his vehicle, according to law enforcement officials.

Speaking on the show, Jones claimed the murder ‘could have been a hit.’

He said: ‘This is a journalist that has been killed, it should be investigated. I think Pam Bondi should look into it.

‘The Austin Police Department admitted they are totally overwhelmed, I am asking the Trump administration, it needs to be investigated, it could have been a hit.

‘It’s a good chance it could have been the more I am talking about it. We need to investigate, I am asking the Justice Department to investigate.’

In an update on Tuesday, Austin Police said that White had been shot and killed in the parking lot of his apartment complex, and the suspects then fled the scene.

White’s sister Kelly Kneale said that although the investigation is in its early stages, it is not believed to be a ‘targeted attack.’

‘My brother was shot,’ Kneale told DailyMail.com. ‘Someone was attempting to break into his car.

‘We’re not doing great. I’m trying to hold it together as best I can for my dad, he can’t really talk right now.’

White’s friend, Yecca Aaron, told Fox 7 that the journalist had stay late at work that night.

‘Literally right when he got home, all that happened,’ Aaron said. ‘It’s crazy that he’s gone just like that.’

‘I really don’t think it was he was targeted because of where he worked. I think he was just targeted because he was right there in the right place at the wrong time.’

In a fiery and emotional video on Monday afternoon, Jones did not hold back in assigning blame, squarely targeting the district attorney Jose Garza.

‘I lay all of this squarely at the feet of Soros and of the sort of crime syndicate of the Democratic Party.

‘They are the ones that administratively cut the police, prosecuted the police, and even cases that are hundred percent clear to be lawful, legal activities,’ Jones ranted.

He added: ‘You murdered Jamie White, you opened the door, you created conditions on purpose. George Soros. Alexander Soros, you murdered Jamie White.’

‘These are sick, degenerate, evil people that know what they’re doing and they aided and abetted.

‘They are accomplices to the murder of a great American and InfoWars long time veteran reporter Jamie White.’

Garza is known for his progressive policies and his campaign was backed by billionaire financier George Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

Jones claimed that White’s death was the inevitable result of what he called ‘vicious policies’ by Soros-backed DAs like Garza.

He accused them of intentionally undermining law enforcement and letting violent criminals roam free.

Jones also cited unnamed sources, claiming that many in law enforcement are frustrated by what they see as Garza’s refusal to prosecute dangerous offenders.

InfoWars, founded by Jones, has been embroiled in controversy for years over its inflammatory far-right content and conspiracy theories.

The company vowed to honor Jamie White’s memory by continuing his work, promising that his ‘tragic death will not be in vain.’
