Social media influencer Alix Earle has officially opened up about her painful separation from NFL player Braxton Berrios, sharing the news in an emotional selfie video.

The 24-year-old, who had previously kept quiet about their breakup, decided to break her silence through a heartfelt video post on TikTok and Instagram Reels, where she candidly discussed the reasons behind their split.

Earle revealed that she had struggled to find the right moment to address the situation but ultimately felt compelled to “speak from the heart.”

“Part of me just really wants to focus on myself right now,” Earle confessed, adding, “I feel like I can’t be what Braxton needs.”

She expressed her desire for Berrios to have someone who can fully support him, saying, “I want him to have someone with him 24/7 who can support him and be there for him.”

‘He wasn’t really expecting that of me. I think it was more of me, I constantly felt like guilty.

‘I love Braxton, he’s my best friend, so it has been very difficult as we’re trying to just go forward with this.’

Earle added that she is distraught, saying she and Berrios are on ‘two different paths.’ 

The influencer then defended the NFL star, making it clear she doesn’t want her supporters to send Berrios hate.

‘I don’t want anyone to come for him or be mean to him, or say it’s because he couldn’t make it to Dancing With The Stars,’ she explained.

‘Part of me doesn’t know if… how I feel even makes sense. I think I question myself a lot of, ‘Why do I feel this way?’ or ‘Are these feelings correct?”

Ultimately, the DWTS star said she wanted to trust her gut and follow her feelings, despite the difficult choice to split.

‘It’s not easy and I just wanted to tell you guys because I know we shared a lot of our relationship,’ Earle said, making clear that she wants to keep her fans updated.

She reiterated that Berrios didn’t ‘do anything wrong’ and that their decision to part ways was mutual.

The social media starlet opened up about how hard the break-up was, admitting she expects plenty of ‘ups and downs’ as she enters a new chapter.

The comments were then flooded with Earle’s fans who pointed out that he never once attended one of her performances on the reality dance competition show she was runner-up in.

Earle, who was partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy, finished second in the competition behind Robert Irwin and Witney Carson.

 In response to the caption, one of the comments read, ‘Every single performance of alixs’.

Berrios had a reasonable excuse, especially considering the season was recorded during the NFL season.

In response to that fan’s comment, he replied, ‘I would’ve been at every one if I could’ve, sadly I can’t travel like that in season.

When another fan posted a similar comment, Berrios said again, ‘I would’ve loved to be [at her shows]. Sadly I wasn’t able to travel like that in-season.’

Another fan remarked, ‘first class ticket to LA during the Biweek’. Turns out, as Berrios said, ‘That’s exactly where I went for bye week!’

That’s because Earle threw a surprise 30th birthday party for Berrios in Los Angeles and he was able to attend.

Soon after Berrios posted to his account, Earle made a post of her own on her Instagram account.

She posted snaps of her out at the club and hanging out with friends, adding the caption, ‘Can’t a girl just go dancing’.

Berrios did periodically show that he was watching Earle on DWTS from afar, making multiple posts to his Instagram stories.
