In Sarasota County, Florida, a determined trapper and a team of deputies successfully managed to wrangle a large alligator, safely transporting the reptile in the back of a truck to an alligator farm.
SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — “Just how many deputies are needed to remove a 14-foot alligator?”
Well, according to a video shared by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, the task took the combined efforts of seven deputies and an experienced trapper.
The footage captures the deputies grappling with the enormous 600-pound gator, which had wandered onto the road.
In the video, a deputy can be heard urging his colleagues, “Lift it up! Lift it up!” as they work together to hoist the massive creature.
The trapper and the deputies were able to place the reptile in the back of a truck before releasing it at an alligator farm.
“This massive guest had plans to stay for the holidays, but we had other ideas,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a statement. “With a wave goodbye, we say, ‘See ya later, Alligator!’”
