Alyssa Farah Griffin talked about her fertility journey during the recent episode of The View. She mentioned that going through this experience has been overwhelming for both her and her husband, Justin Griffin.

The discussion during the show’s Hot Topics segment revolved around marriage and how relationships evolve over time. Farah Griffin, who got married in November 2021, shared that their bond has grown stronger, and they have improved their communication skills throughout the years.

She openly expressed, “We are currently in the process of trying to conceive, and it has been a very challenging time for us. However, it has also made us appreciate the freedom we currently enjoy, realizing that it will soon transition into a new phase.”

“That’s a big thing for us. And just planning ahead for the things that we’re afraid of and how we’re gonna navigate it,” she continued. “But I think it’s a very active thing. Every day you have to choose, ‘I’m not gonna pick this fight. I’m invested in this.’ We don’t use the ‘D’ word. I come from a divorced family. We are committed to this so how are we gonna make it work?”

On a December 2024 episode of The View’s Behind the Table podcast, Farah Griffin revealed that she had been going through in vitro fertilization (IVF) after a year and a half of trying to get pregnant naturally.

“I wanted to share it for a couple of reasons. I had no idea at my age how hard this actually would be,” Farah Griffin said at the time, per Entertainment Weekly. “I’m only 35. And to me, I was like, ‘I’ve got plenty of time. This won’t be that difficult. I’m healthy. I work out. I eat right.’ And my body was just not cooperating with it.”

At the time, she was going through her second round of IVF. “I just wanted to mention it because, from someone who is surprised by how hard it was, it’s because all the stories of this that we hear is usually women on the other side, like, ‘Here’s my baby and, oh, real quick, it was kind of hard to get here,’” she added, noting that The View co-hosts Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin had been “beyond supportive and helpful” throughout the process.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
