An Amazon driver in California was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting victims while he was delivering packages.

On Wednesday, the suspect was identified as Fernando Barreto-Hernandez, 24, of Los Angeles, according to the Glendale Police Department.

On Jan. 21, a woman was walking near Brand Boulevard and Chevy Chase Drive in Glendale when she was approached by a deliveryman and sexually assaulted, police said.

Barreto-Hernandez was arrested three days later for a separate incident that happened in L.A. in December 2024.

During that incident, Barreto-Hernandez is accused of sexually assaulting an underage female while he was delivering packages for Amazon.

On Feb. 21, he appeared in court for the L.A. assault. After the hearing, he was taken into custody for the Glendale assault.

The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office filed both felony and misdemeanor charges for the two cases. The suspect was later released from custody on bond.

Barreto-Hernandez has worked for several delivery companies, including Amazon, Amazon Flex and FedEx, police said.

Detectives are seeking more possible victims who have not yet come forward.

Anyone with information on the suspect or who may be a victim is urged to call the Glendale Police Assaults Unit at 818-548-3106.
