Scrubs star Eliza Coupe looked unrecognizable nearly 15 years after the highly-popular sitcom went off air.

The actress who is 43 years old attended the premiere of the Netflix series The Residence in Hollywood. This event also marked a reunion of the cast of Orange Is The New Black on Wednesday night.

She glittered in a low-cut shimmering metallic gold dress at the star-studded event held at The Egyptian Theater.

The Plymouth, New Hampshire native teamed the shiny frock with a pair of black suede knee high booties.

She also wore a black mink coat but draped it down her arms to show off more of the dress while posing on the blue carpet.

Her blonde locks were worn down as the fringe hung to just above her eye as her make-up was highlighted by a smokey eye.

Eliza’s appearance was notably different from her days of playing Denise ‘Jo’ Mahoney in the final two seasons (eight and nine) of Scrubs, which aired in 2009 and 2010.

During season eight, her character, an intern at Sacred Heart Hospital, was known for being outspoken, brutally honest, and having difficulties with patient-doctor interactions due to her demeanor.

In season nine, she is a resident at the new Sacred Heart Hospital, as well as a student adviser and teacher’s assistant at Winston University. She is romantically involved with medical student Drew Suffin.

Scrubs was a medical sitcom created by Bill Lawrence and aired from October 2001 to March 2010 as it followed the lives of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart Hospital which is a teaching hospital.

Eliza has found a lot of success in sitcoms as she is also known for starring as Jane Kerkovich-Williams in the ABC comedy series Happy Endings.

The character  was competitive, a perfectionist by nature, and something of a control freak.

Despite her Type-A attitude, Jane had a wild past in college, most notably embracing her bisexuality, wearing pink streaks in her hair, and donating an egg her freshman year to finance a spring break trip to Cabo San Lucas.

Happy Endings was a single-camera ensemble comedy which aired over three seasons from April 2011 to May 2013.

Meanwhile her latest project The Residence is a mystery drama series created by Paul William Davies.

She portrays a character named Margery Bay Bix in the series which centers around the inside of the White House staff residence and the lives that the workers share with the First Family.

Orange Is The New Black star Uzo Aduba leads the cast which also features Barrett Foa, Edwina Findley, Juliette Jeffers, Al Mitchell, Bret Tucker, Jodi Bianca Wise, Paul Fitzgerald, Sumalee Montano, J.D. Hall, Julieth Restrepo, and James Babson.

Aside from acting, Coupe has embraced her spiritual side and regularly posts from Joshua Tree, California while promoting her latest self-help book.

Last month she discussed taking ayahuasca to cleanse herself of toxic energy after her divorce from Darin Olien. She wed the author and superfood advocate in 2014 and he filed for divorce in 2018.

She also posted a serene selfie with the caption: ‘My book…COYOTE WOMAN AND THE ODYSSEY OF SOUL CONTRACTS coming soooooooon!! #book #write #consciousness #spirituality #love #coyote.’

Another tome – Journal It The F*** Out has the synopsis: ‘Does your brain feel like it needs a long shower? Just so many thoughts dirtying up your clarity?

‘I’ll let you in on a lil secret…The only way out is IN.

‘Write it out to right yourself.

‘Sign up below to receive some of my personal journal prompts that help me clean my brain everyday.’

Coupe has previously spoken about her battle with ‘food issues and body image’ in a candid chat with Bon Appetit in 2017.

She adopted a vegan lifestyle and completely cut out sugar after struggling with food intolerances her whole life.

She said: ‘I’m trying to heal that part of myself and also handle my physical issues naturally by putting the best things into my body.’
