Andrea Bocelli and Pharrell Williams are joining forces to co-direct what’s being called a landmark and spiritual event in the heart of Vatican City.

The concert, supported by the Vatican, will be held September 13 in St. Peter’s Square, for the first time ever. It’ll mark the closing of the third World Meeting on Human Fraternity and the celebration of the 2025 Jubilee Year.

Both Bocelli and Williams hope the concert event will be a moment of global unity.

“This is a rare cultural moment where the world stops and collectively tunes in. It is a message of unity and grace for all of humanity,” said Williams in a statement.

“Let us shine a spotlight on humanity with music from the very heart of Christianity and the most important spiritual square, reaching the entire world with a single message of brotherhood and peace,” said Bocelli.

“On the evening of 13 September, fraternity will take center stage, expressed through the universal language of music and the stories of those who have made it a life’s choice,” said Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, O.F.M. “Concrete words and actions shall be proposed to be brought into our communities, so that fraternity does not remain a mere idea, but becomes a choice that transforms reality.”

The concert will feature performances by Williams with the Voices of Fire Gospel Choir, Bocelli, Karol G, John Legend, Clipse featuring Pusha T and Malice, Teddy Swims, Jelly Roll, Angélique Kidjo and more.

There will also be an aerial drone and light show by Nova Sky Stories, featuring imagery inspired by the Sistine Chapel.

The entire event will stream live exclusively on Disney+, Hulu and ABC News Live on September 13.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Disney+, Hulu and this ABC station.
