In the latest trailer for Taylor Swift’s upcoming docuseries, “The End of an Era,” Andrea Swift, the singer’s mother, shared her heartfelt thoughts on her daughter’s fiancé.
“Travis Kelce brings a lot of happiness,” Andrea, 67, expressed during an intimate interview featured in the series. This snippet was unveiled in a clip posted on Instagram on Thursday.
The trailer also treated fans to a cheerful Taylor Swift donning a Kansas City Chiefs jersey while rehearsing, followed by a charming exchange on the phone between the couple.
“We essentially have the same job,” Taylor, 35, remarked over speakerphone to Kelce, 36. He replied by noting the similarities, pointing out that they both have teams to work with.
“You’ve got Coach Reid, and I’ve got my mom,” Taylor quipped, prompting shared laughter between the two.
“Honestly can’t think of a better way to celebrate my (almost) birthday than to relive the Eras Tour with you! This time we’re going backstage. “The End of an Era”, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries, streams on @disneyplus beginning Dec 12 🫶,” Swift reflected in the caption of the trailer on Instagram.
Exactly a month ago, Swift announced the news of her upcoming docuseries focused on her record-breaking Eras Tour.
“It was the End of an Era and we knew it,” Swift, 35, captioned her Instagram post about the Disney+ project.
“We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”
Aside from featuring several behind-the-scenes moments from the tour, the docuseries featured multiple intimate glimpses at her relationship with Kelce.
In one scene, the “Fate of Ophelia” singer hugged and kissed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end backstage at one of her shows.
Meanwhile, in another cute moment, Kelce can be seen carrying Swift while rehearsing for his Eras Tour stage debut in June 2024.
“The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th on @disneyplus,” the caption of Swift’s post continued.
The initial trailer also featured Sabrina Carpenter and Gracie Abrams, who opened for several of Swift’s shows, as well as her go-to collaborator, Ed Sheeran.
The Eras Tour was a cultural phenomenon that spanned from March 2023 to December 2024.
While she was on tour, Taylor recorded two new albums — “The Tortured Poets Department” and “The Life of a Showgirl” — and re-recorded “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”
