In a new video released on Wednesday, Andy Dick disclosed that he had used crack cocaine prior to a recent alarming incident that resembled an overdose.
Speaking with TMZ, the 59-year-old comedian initially appeared perplexed about the unsettling images showing him collapsed on a Hollywood street on Tuesday. However, he admitted he had smoked drugs with an individual he encountered on the street.
Amidst slurred speech, Dick nonchalantly justified his drug use by stating, “I don’t mind doing a little crack every now and then.”
The Daily Mail has contacted Dick’s representatives for a statement but has yet to receive a reply.
The Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments informed People on Wednesday that after the overdose scare on Tuesday, a friend escorted Dick home.
‘I can confirm that we did respond to the intersection of Highland and Yucca at the 7-Eleven at 3:14 p.m. for a 59-year-old male,’ a spokesperson for the LAFD said, though they withheld a name due to HIPAA laws. ‘But we did respond to that location for an overdose. He was not transported to the hospital.’

The LAPD’s statement added that police had responded to the scene over the ‘medical emergency issue.’
Dick, who’s best known for starring in the NBC sitcom NewsRadio and for appearing in Ben Stiller’s hit comedy Zoolander before a string of legal issues and drug problems, was joined by two men he called his friends in the new video, one of whom confirmed that Dick was administered Narcan, a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses.
Notably, Narcan wouldn’t reverse the effects of crack use, as cocaine is not an opiate. However, fentanyl, an extremely powerful opiate drug, is sometimes mixed in with other drugs.
Fentanyl itself can also be smoked on aluminum foil, similar to the drug that Dick described.
At the start of the clip, the videographer asks Dick how he’s doing after ‘everything that happened yesterday,’ but the comedian acted perplexed by the question.
‘I have a couple questions for you. What do you mean by everything?’ Dick asked, and when the interviewer referred to the apparent overdose, the actor added, ‘What happened?’
Dick, who appeared to be wearing a disheveled black suit and matching tie with an untucked shirt, was sipping a clear liquid from a small glass as he responded to questions about how he was doing.
‘Doesn’t it look like I’m 100 percent fine?’ he said in a groggy, slurred voice.

‘110 percent,’ he corrected himself with a sly smile before taking another sip.
Two younger men sat on chairs on either side of Dick and revealed that they had both been with him the day before when he overdosed.
A man on the left said they were ‘going out with Andy’ on Tuesday after they had their ‘whole entire day planned,’ but things went awry when the comedian ‘got away from us for a few minutes.’
The friend added that Dick ‘did something that messed him up,’ forcing him to go ‘find some Narcan.’
‘But it was a group effort of all of our friends that saved him,’ Dick’s friend added.
Then Dick jumped in to explain that he ran into a man his age who apparently told him that he had children and that he was ‘depressed.’
‘I felt for him,’ Dick explained, adding that he sat on the sidewalk with the man.
‘Then he whipped out — I’m sorry — but crack,’ he continued with a shrug. ‘And I’m like, you know what, I might need a little bit of that. But also, I don’t mind doing a little crack every now and then.”

The comedian was joined by two friends in the clip who said that they lost track of him on Tuesday. Dick claimed to have sat with a man on the street he felt sorry for who was smoking crack. ‘I’m like, you know what, I might need a little bit of that,’ Dick said; seen in 2022 in LA
‘But in this case…’ Dick added before trailing off.
Then his friend on the right jumped to finding Dick after the overdose when he was unresponsive.
He recalled saying, ‘If you can hear me, grab my hand,’ but he said Dick didn’t squeeze his hand at all.
The second friend said he told Dick to ‘think of your grandbabies,’ before explaining that the actor has two grandchildren.
That was allegedly what gave the actor the strength necessary to squeeze his friend’s hand.
Although Dick at first said he had smoked ‘crack’ with the man on the street, but he later reiterated the lead-up to the overdose and simply said he ‘was smoking something on tin foil.’
‘I know what that is. Just give me some,’ Dick added.

Wearing a brown jacket, pajama pants, and Crocs, Dick was so limp that a bystander tried to prop him up while his signature rectangular glasses lay on the pavement in front of him.
Moments later, he was sprawled flat on the ground, still showing no signs of regaining consciousness.
Dick has a long, well-documented history of drug and alcohol abuse and has cycled through one legal crisis after another, including multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and a string of arrests.
In 2022, he was ordered to register as a sex offender stemming from a 2018 conviction.
On Tuesday, witnesses said friends rushed to his side shouting ‘Wake up’ as others frantically called 911, per TMZ.
The outlet reported that Narcan — the opioid-reversal medication — was requested and administered at the scene.
The Los Angeles Fire Department later told TMZ that first responders had arrived on the scene to treat a 59-year-old man suffering an overdose.
The representative added that the man was not taken to a hospital afterward.

The publication noted that it was not uncommon for people who have been revived by Narcan to decline treatment after regaining consciousness.
LAPD officers also reportedly responded to the scene due to the 911 call.

In the video, a young man going by the name ‘JJ’ could be seen telling another person in the RV that he believed Dick had molested him in his sleep, as he could feel some sort of lotion or lubricant on his backside.

‘JJ’ was heard in the livestream trying to confront Dick about the alleged incident.
Dick, who was heard saying he was on the phone with his ‘baby mama’, denied the allegation before asking, ‘Did you take my blow?’
‘No, I didn’t even take it whenever it was offered,’ the man replied.
‘JJ’ then asked Dick, ‘Why did you assault me in my sleep?’
Dick denied the accusations and tried to block the camera with his foot.
‘I never assaulted you in your sleep,’ he responded. ‘Can you leave me alone?’
Sergeant Scott Steinle confirmed to Page Six that the Special Victims Unit was involved in the situation and ‘part of their investigation is to make sure that the victim is taken care of physically and that would also include a potential physical exam.’

In November 2021, Dick was arrested for felony domestic battery after he allegedly hit his boyfriend in the head with a liquor bottle.
According to police, Dick and his boyfriend had been at his home when they got into a heated argument that quickly turned physical.
When police were called, they determined there was enough evidence to arrest the comedian, as his boyfriend was allegedly bleeding from a sizable wound on his head.
Dick was later released after he posted $50,000 bond.

The situation spiraled with Dick rubbing his hands on Ivanka’s thighs and knee while she politely tried to stop the unwanted advances.
