Anna Paquin walked a red carpet with a cane Wednesday while dealing with undisclosed health issues.
The “Piano” star appeared to be in good spirits as she posed for photos at the New York City premiere of her new film, “A Bit of Light.”
Paquin, at the age of 41, was seen holding a black cane in her right hand as she stood with her husband, Stephen Moyer, who happened to be the director of the movie.
The Academy Award winner was dressed in a black minidress with long sleeves, featuring a mock turtleneck and edgy shoulder pads. Her hair was styled in an elegant updo, and she completed the outfit with black tights and heels.
While Paquin has not shared the cause of her health struggles, she told People at the event that the past two years have been “difficult.”
“It hasn’t been easy,” she said.
A source later told the magazine that the actress “will hopefully make a full recovery.”

Paquin also gushed about working with Moyer, 54, and having him as a support system.
“He’s my favorite person to play with,” she said. “I’m not sentimental when it comes to work.”
The actress, known for her role in “True Blood”, had not made a public appearance on the red carpet since the Raindance Film Festival in October 2022. Back then, she was photographed with Moyer; however, she was not using a cane during that event.
The couple tied the knot in 2010 and share 11-year-old twins: daughter Poppy and son Charlie.
A rep for Paquin didn’t return Page Six’s request for comment.
