Fans of Ariana Grande will need to adjust their schedules as the pop superstar has announced changes to several dates on her “Eternal Sunshine” tour.
On Monday, Grande revealed that her concert originally planned for July 12 at New York’s Barclays Center will be postponed to July 14. Additionally, her Boston shows at TD Garden are also affected; instead of the initial dates on July 22 and July 24, attendees can now expect to attend on July 23 and July 26, respectively.
Addressing her fans via Instagram Stories, Grande attributed the date shifts to unforeseen production challenges. She emphasized that these adjustments are crucial to ensuring that her performance is presented safely and as originally envisioned.
“We are so sorry for these unfortunate scheduling changes,” Grande conveyed, expressing how production issues have necessitated these decisions. “This was our best and safest option as these challenges with production have come to our attention.”
Reassuring her audience, Grande stressed the importance of safety, while also maintaining the integrity of her show’s presentation. “The utmost important thing to us all is safety, first and foremost, and also making sure you all see the show how it is intended to run,” she elaborated. Grande concluded by thanking everyone for their understanding and shared her excitement to perform for her fans soon.
All tickets will be honored for the new dates.
Grande, 33, kicked off her highly anticipated tour in support of her seventh album, “Eternal Sunshine,” on June 6 in Oakland, California. She’s scheduled to perform across the US, and also has dates in Canada and London.
The tour is scheduled to end with a performance at the at the O2 Arena in London on Sept.1.
Earlier this month, the “Thank U, Next” singer broke down in tears on stage, addressing her fans after news broke that she split from her “Wicked” co-star Ethan Slater after three years of dating.
“This is so overwhelming in the most beautiful way ever,” she emotionally said, as the audience clapped for her at her show at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The Grammy winner thanked her fans for being “such a loving, safe presence” in her life “throughout all these chapters and all of these years.”
“It’s been seven years since I’ve been on stage in front of you all,” she noted, “and you’ve stood by my side and supported me.”
Grande recently reconnected with another ex — dancer Ricky Alvarez. However, after pics of the two hanging out on social media started circulating, sources told TMZ that there “is nothing romantic between Ariana and Ricky this time around.”
