A Venezuelan national in the U.S. illegally was arrested near the White House Thursday after authorities allegedly found him in a stolen vehicle containing several firearms. The Department of Homeland Security said he also reportedly threatened to kill President Donald Trump.
U.S. Secret Service officers approached the suspect Thursday evening after seeing him “acting suspicious in his car while it was parked on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C.,” according to DHS.
DHS said the suspect told officers that voices in his head had instructed him to travel to the nation’s capital and kill Trump.
