Police want help located SUV in Jacksonville hit-and-run incident

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that occurred on April 21 on Firestone Road near the intersection with 103rd Street.

According to JSO, a 24-year-old man was struck by a black SUV captured on surveillance video, which is pictured here. Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the vehicle or knows who was driving it to call 904-630-0500.

The hit-and-run left the victim with life-threatening injuries, JSO says. The SUV was last seen turning left onto Harlow Boulevard moments after the crash.

JSO does not believe the vehicle sustained any visible damage.

Anyone with information can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward by contacting First Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS. If you don’t have information, JSO encourages you to share the video to help spread awareness.
