23 arrests made, 326 grams of fentanyl seized in St. Johns County drug operation

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said Monday the amount of fentanyl seized during the operation is equivalent to 162,840 potential deadly doses.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Twenty-three people were arrested and 326 grams of fentanyl was seized during a drug operation conducted by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, the agency announced Monday.

The amount of fentanyl seized, according to SJSO, is equivalent to 162,840 potential deadly doses.

The sheriff’s office said the undercover operation, given the name ‘Operation Poison Control,’ identified large scale drug suppliers, broke up the “drug distribution network” in St. Johns County and was done over a year and a half period.

The following people were arrested during the operation, according to SJSO:

  1. Bradley Langley: Conspiracy to traffic fentanyl four to 14 grams
  2. Christina Taylor: Sale of fentanyl, sale of fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a school
  3. David Pope: Trafficking in fentanyl 4-14 grams (two counts)
  4. Christy Hall: Sale of fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a church
  5. Christopher Miles: Sale of fentanyl (two counts), sale of methamphetamine
  6. Matthew Pasquale: Possession of fentanyl (trafficking amount located)
  7. Lisa Wilson: Sale of fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a school
  8. Septimus Connor: Trafficking in fentanyl 4-14 grams
  9. Lavale McLeod: Sale of fentanyl (two counts)
  10. Katena Tuthill: Sale of fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a church
  11. James Hamlin II: Sale of fentanyl
  12. Lawrence Milligan: Sale of fentanyl
  13. Matthew Tanner: Trafficking in fentanyl over 28 grams, possession of a place for trafficking a controlled substance
  14. Melissa Greene: Sale of fentanyl
  15. Corey Williams: Sale of fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a church, sale of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a church
  16. Vanessa Robideaux: Sale of fentanyl (two counts), possession of fentanyl (trafficking amount located)
  17. Ashley McCormick: Sale of fentanyl (two counts)
  18. Harley Waardenburg: Sale of fentanyl
  19. Michael Mullins: Trafficking in fentanyl four to 14 grams, possession of a place for trafficking in a controlled substance
  20. Lavoy Bennett: Trafficking in fentanyl 14 to 28 grams, trafficking in fentanyl 4-14 grams
  21. Sumer Sleap: Trafficking in fentanyl, possession of a place for trafficking in a controlled substance
  22. Wendell Cox: Trafficking in fentanyl 14-28 grams (two counts), trafficking fentanyl 4-14 grams (two counts), possession of a place for trafficking a controlled substance, manslaughter
  23. Kimberly Curcio: Sale of fentanyl

“#TeamSJSO will hold anyone trafficking drugs in St. Johns County responsible and is dedicated to protecting the community from the devastating effects of the opioid crisis,” SJSO said in a Facebook post.
