Authorities have confiscated a cache of firearms and ammunition linked to a tragic shooting in Rhode Island, orchestrated by a transgender father who took the lives of two individuals before turning the gun on himself.

The assailant, known both as Robert Dorgan and Roberta Espisito, unleashed a barrage of bullets at a high school hockey game in Pawtucket on Monday. This violent act claimed the lives of his ex-wife, Rhonda, and one of his sons, Aiden.

In the chaotic scene, gunfire also hit Dorgan’s former in-laws, Linda and Gerald Dorgan, as well as Thomas Geruoso, the assistant principal of Shea High School. All three victims are currently hospitalized and remain in critical condition.

In the wake of this horrific event, a collaborative investigation involving Pawtucket County Police, Maine State Police, and the FBI led to extensive searches on Wednesday. Authorities meticulously combed through Dorgan’s apartment, work locker, and storage unit, uncovering the firearms and ammunition that underscored the gravity of this tragedy.

Pawtucket County Police, Maine State Police and the FBI conducted searches on Wednesday of Dorgan’s apartment, work locker and storage unit.

According to CBS, officials confiscated an AR-15, a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition and firearm accessories from the unit in Brunswick, Maine.

Additionally, Dorgan, 56, had ammunition and firearm accessories at his apartment. Police also seized an electronic device and personal identification documents. He also had two handguns on him when he shot himself dead.

Nothing was taken from his work locker. Police sent the guns and ammunition to a crime lab in Rhode Island.

Investigators noticed a white van with a Maine license plate in surveillance footage from the hockey game at Dennis M. Lynch Arena.

The car, which was in Dorgan’s name, led police to continue their investigation in Maine.

Two handguns were traced back to the scene of the shooting by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Dorgan was carrying a Florida gun permit and two firearms when he died.

The investigation revealed Dorgan bought a 10mm Glock in 2021 in Florida and a Sig Sauer P226 in 2019 in Rhode Island.

A heroic onlooker wrestled one gun away from Dorgan, but the shooter took out the second weapon and shot himself.

Police said the shooting appeared to be a ‘family dispute.’

Dorgan's daughter, Amanda Wallace-Hubbard, opened up about her late father's relationship with his family

Dorgan’s daughter, Amanda Wallace-Hubbard, opened up about her late father’s relationship with his family

Dorgan’s late ex-wife filed for divorce in 2020, citing ‘gender reassignment surgery, narcissistic and personality disorder traits.’

Those reasons were later crossed out and replaced with ‘irreconcilable differences which have caused the immediate breakdown of the marriage’.

Their divorce was finalized in 2021.

Dorgan’s daughter from a previous marriage, Amanda Wallace-Hubbard, said her father ‘struggled with demons.’

‘Gender identity was not remotely a factor in him being ostracized from the family, at least on the part of myself or my siblings; it really was just a symptom of something that had been going on that was much deeper his entire adult life,’ Wallace-Hubbard told the New York Post.

She said Dorgan had a ‘vendetta’ against his family.

Wallace-Hubbard and her young sons were present while their loved ones were shot and killed.

According to his social media, Dorgan had six children from multiple relationships.

His eldest son, Kevin Colantonio, is serving time in federal prison for setting fire to a predominantly black church.

Wallace-Hubbard started a GoFundMe for her half-siblings, Ava and Colin Dorgan, who lost both of their parents in the tragic murder-suicide.

Dorgan’s social media pages also showed he considered himself ‘to the right of Hitler.’

He had a Nazi-inspired tattoo and voiced support in the past for ‘white power.’

He even posted an anti-Asian slur as he replied to a video praising Adolf Hitler just one day before the shooting.

That same day, Dorgan threatened to go ‘BESERK.’

The Daily Mail contacted the Pawtucket Police Department and Maine State Police for comment.
