Authorities searched the home of singer D4vd following the discovery of a missing 13-year-old girl’s body in his Tesla, leading to growing suspicions of his connection to the deceased.
The dismembered body of Celeste Rivas was found in the trunk of a Tesla owned by D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, 20. This was on September 8 in Los Angeles, California.
The car had been abandoned for several weeks near the cross streets of Doheny Place and Bluebird Avenue in Hollywood Hills home before being towed.
Police spent hours in the property and were seen hauling several evidence bags into an SUV.
Officers declined to confirm if the search was connected to the Rivas investigation.
The exact time and cause of Rivas’ death remain undetermined. However, Los Angeles police have classified the case as a homicide, noting that the young girl had likely been deceased for ‘some time’ before her body was discovered.
She was reported missing in Lake Elsinore, California, in April 2024.
The raid follows revelations from Celeste’s mother that she had a ‘shhh…’ tattooed on her right index finger, which matches the design D4vd has inked on his own.
And a 2023 song by D4vd could provide clues about the teenager.

An unearthed track titled ‘Celeste_Demo unfin’, uploaded to Soundcloud Wednesday, refers to a number of potentially identifying traits the teenager had.
The lyrics in the song from December 2023 include: ‘Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes / I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I’m obsessed.’
A subsequent set of lyrics points to what appears to be a romantic relationship, which the artist is describing as having with the subject of his song.
The Daily Mail has reached out to D4vd for comment on this developing story.
The lyrics include: ‘Oh, Celeste / Afraid you’ll only love me when undressed / But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress / Missing you so much makes me depressed / But I digress, because.’
It is not clear if D4vd was singing about Celeste in the track.
Employees at Hollywood Tow noticed a smell coming from the Tesla owned by Burke, officials told NBCLA.
The musical artist is said to have been cooperating with authorities amid a probe into the death.
‘D4vd has been informed about what’s happened,’ a spokesman for the artist told the outlet on September 9. ‘And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.’

D4vd has not been charged with any crime.
Authorities told NBCLA that the car had been impounded after it had been reported abandoned while in the Hollywood Hills.
Police said that the vehicle had been there for a couple of days when it was reported.
It comes after D4vd was recently believed to have been photographed in an area near where the teenager lived, TMZ reported.
Early in his career, the singer used TikTok to share his music, garnering 3.6 million followers on the social media platform.
D4vd subsequently caught the attention of Interscope Records and Darkroom, who signed him to recording contracts.
