The Ithaca bar at the center of the explosive “Cornell 7” case has rejected allegations that it served alcohol to a woman who was allegedly “visibly intoxicated” before she was reportedly gang-raped.
In a lawsuit filed last month against Moonies Bar and Nightclub, Cornell University and seven fraternity members, the woman alleged that she was given alcohol during a sorority event even though she had already consumed numerous shots earlier at her sorority.
Here’s the latest on the ‘Cornell 7’ frat probe:
She was also 20 at the time, making her under New York’s legal drinking age. According to the lawsuit, bar staff had marked her hand to show that she was too young to legally drink.

Moonies disputed those accusations in its own court filing, denying that it served her alcohol or “sold or furnished alcoholic beverages to any visibly intoxicated person,” TMZ reported.
The woman has alleged that seven fraternity members played a role in a brutal October 2024 incident during which she says she was drugged and raped by multiple men.
