Turns out the BBC is now a pro-Hamas, anti-Trump propaganda machine

The BBC recently faced criticism for manipulating footage of former President Donald Trump, creating an impression that he incited the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. The broadcaster edited together separate parts of Trump’s speech, presenting them as a seamless call to action for the crowd to “fight.”

This was not a matter of trimming unnecessary pauses or filler words to enhance understanding. Instead, the BBC combined excerpts from Trump’s address that were originally apart by a significant 54 minutes, crafting a portrayal that heightened the drama of his words.

Such editorial choices raise serious questions about journalistic integrity, reminiscent of practices from less transparent media environments.

The BBC, however, insists that its “Editorial Guidelines” reflect the accumulated knowledge of over a century in program creation, content production, and journalism.

The BBC claims that its “Editorial Guidelines embody the wisdom of more than 100 years of program making, content production and journalism.”

But a leaked internal memo has exposed even more far-reaching bias at the venerable, publicly-owned British network.

Written by a former member of the BBC’s own standards committee, the memo reveals multiple cases in which the BBC knowingly reported Hamas propaganda as fact, such as reports that Israeli troops had murdered hundreds of bound civilians and buried them in mass graves at al-Shifa Hospital.

In reality, Palestinians buried those casualties before the Israeli troops arrived.

The BBC also went all-in promoting the famine hoax, apparently taking editorial direction from the notorious Hamas-affiliated Shehab Agency, offering debunked stories about mass starvation and the murder of civilian aid-seekers.

That’s not all: BBC Arabic was found to present the same news stories as the main channel, but with added pro-Hamas editorializing.

Worse, BBC Arabic regularly platformed Hamas “journalists” who openly spouted antisemitic vitriol on-air, including saying Jews are subhuman and should all be burned to death.

The opposition in Parliament is demanding an investigation into the BBC’s standards and practices; seems to us like the next government should look at shutting the whole thing down.
