Best recognized for bringing to life the character Sheen Estevez in both the “Jimmy Neutron” movie and its Nickelodeon series, Jeff Garcia was a cherished voice actor in the animation world.
Jeff Garcia, a multi-talented actor and comedian known for his work in various animated films and shows during the 2000s, has passed away at the age of 50, as confirmed by his family on Wednesday.
He gained widespread fame for his role as Sheen Estevez in the “Jimmy Neutron” movie and its television adaptation, along with its sequel series, “Planet Sheen.”
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, his son Jojo Garcia expressed, “With profound sadness, I share that my father, Jeff Garcia, has left us. My father was truly one of a kind. His authenticity was admirable, and I will forever cherish the love, compassion, and determination he showed. He taught me invaluable lessons and gave me guidance that I carry with me every day. He was a Father, Son, Uncle, Cousin, Brother, but above all, he was my best friend.”
Reports from TMZ indicate that Garcia had been battling numerous health challenges over the past year, including a brain aneurysm.
Garcia’s other voice acting credits include “Marmaduke,” “Rio,” “Barnyard” and the “Happy Feet” movies. He was also a standup comic.Â
“The talent my father possessed was truly one of a kind. From voice acting to stand up comedy, he shined with his quick wit, brash humor, and charm. He has made such an impact on people’s lives internationally, whether you grew up watching Jimmy Neutron, or shared a laugh with him at one of his shows,” Garcia’s son added. “He was my hero… I idolized him. He may be gone, but he will NEVER be forgotten. He lives on through our family and friends he loved so dearly, along with the legacy he has created. I know you’re in heaven smiling down and you’re in a better place now. No more pain. I’m going to make you proud pops. Fly high, Rocket Man. LLJG”
