In an unexpected twist, Benedict Cumberbatch found himself in a fiery exchange with another cyclist, following an alleged traffic violation. The incident occurred in London last week when the “Doctor Strange” actor reportedly ran a red light, sparking the confrontation.
Captured on video, the scene unfolded with Cumberbatch stepping away from his bike to engage with the irate cyclist. The confrontation quickly turned heated as the unidentified man accused Cumberbatch of being in denial, stating, “You’re deluded, you’re lying. I was behind you the entire time.”
In defense, Cumberbatch countered the accusation by claiming the man was subjecting him to verbal abuse. This prompted a sarcastic retort from the cyclist, who remarked, “Oh no, I verbally abused the guy who completely repeatedly broke the law.” Cumberbatch then conceded, admitting, “I did it once.”
Cumberbatch responded by accusing the man of “verbally” abusing him.

The man then accused the “Sherlock” star of running two other red lights, which he denied.
The fight lasted about 10 minutes before the man left, and Cumberbatch took some time to pose with young fans.
The onelooker who recorded the altercation said, “It was crazy. It was such a pompous road rage it almost felt like it had been staged.”
“Benedict still managed to charm everyone watching even though he was having a meltdown,” the eyewitness added. “They went at each other about five times.”
According to the man, Cumberbatch and the other cyclist “blocked the lane so no one else could get through.”
The eyewitness stated that the heated cyclist had followed the “Imitation Game” star until the latter pulled over.
“The masked guy was obviously some kind of vigilante — he was really taken aback when he saw it was Benedict Cumberbatch, but he doubled down on his rage,” the man said.
“I don’t condone dangerous driving, but for this guy to follow him and cause an incident like this was worse than Benedict slowly cutting that light,” the eyewitness said.
The man added that school kids were passing by “awestruck,” and Cumberbatch politely told them to wait for photos.
A rep for the “Star Trek Into Darkness” actor wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
