“The allegations against Mr. Andrade Pino are deeply troubling,” Berlin commented.

The incident reportedly occurred on a Monday evening while the 20-year-old victim was on duty at the Jewel located on York Road in Bensenville. While retrieving shopping carts in the parking lot, Andrade Pino allegedly approached her, instructing her to come to his vehicle, as per official reports.

When she refused, he allegedly obstructed her path, grabbed her neck, and once again insisted she accompany him to his car.

Andrade Pino released her, but stayed by her and grabbed and released her again, when someone came out of the store, officials said.

The next morning, Andrade Pino returned to the Jewel, and employees called the police.

He was then taken into custody.

Andrade Pino appeared in court Wednesday morning, and was denied pre-trial release.

He is next due in court Jan. 20.
