President Joe Biden made it clear in his final Oval Office speech that he believes commanders in chief should not be immune from prosecution for their “official acts,” in what seemed like a direct criticism of President-Elect Donald Trump.

During his speech, Biden emphasized the need to amend the Constitution to ensure that no president is above the law and can be held accountable for any crimes committed while in office.

This statement came in the aftermath of a Manhattan judge’s ruling that granted Trump a no-penalty sentence in a recent “hush money” case, solidifying his unique position as the first president with a felony conviction but without the fear of imprisonment or monetary penalties as he prepares to return to the White House.
