BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. (KABC) — An unfolding narrative from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) provides new insights into the decline of Jackie, the beloved bald eagle of Big Bear, whose health waned before her recent passing. Her ultimate resting place posthumously has also been determined.
In an announcement on Tuesday, the CDFW confirmed that Jackie died on the night of August 9th while at the Ojai Raptor Center under intensive veterinary care, marking the end of a three-week ordeal.
