Bill Clinton shows up at NYC Marathon finish line with mysterious bandage

On Sunday, former President Bill Clinton made an appearance at the New York City Marathon finish line to support his daughter Chelsea, who was participating in the event. Notably, Clinton had a noticeable bandage on his nose, sparking curiosity about a mysterious injury.

At 79, Clinton, who experienced a health scare last year involving hospitalization due to a fever and suspected dehydration, was spotted affectionately greeting Chelsea, 45, who is an experienced marathon runner. The cause of Clinton’s nose injury remains unclear.

Joining the cheering crowd alongside Bill was his wife, Hillary Clinton, as they celebrated Chelsea’s marathon accomplishments.

Earlier this summer, Clinton was seen carrying a portable defibrillator bag while leaving the Hamptons, which raised concerns about his ongoing heart health, given his medical history.

Since President Trump’s return to the White House in January, Clinton, a prominent figure in the Democratic Party, has largely maintained a low profile. Last year, he was actively involved in campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris against the Republican candidate.

But during the 2024 campaign cycle, Clinton had taken on a somewhat active role, stumping for Harris in key states.

The Arkansas-born pol also delivered a fiery speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last year, an address he rewrote shortly beforehand after seeing the renewed energy the party had when former President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

Clinton has occasionally weighed in on general major recent events, too, such as the fragile Israel-Hamas peace agreement.

In terms of recent politics, the former president congratulated Democratic Socialist mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani on his primary-election victory in New York City in June.

Clinton has quipped that he is still slightly younger than Trump — by about two months. The Dem is also three years younger than Biden. He is the second-youngest living US president after Barack Obama.

But health scares have been aplenty for Clinton..

In 2004, he underwent quadruple heart bypass surgery to address blockages of some of his arteries at over 90%.

A year later, he had surgery for a collapsed lung, and then, in 2010, he received open heart surgery to address a clogged artery and had two stents put in. He was also briefly hospitalized during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A reporter for The Post spotted Bill Clinton entering a black van, flanked by multiple New York Police Department officers, on Sunday

A Clinton rep did not respond to a Post request for comment.
