() Bill O’Reilly believes President Trump’s role in securing a peace deal between Israel and Hamas has increased his power across the globe, and it could have a bearing on the United States’ dealings with China.
On Sunday, the situation marked 737 days since hostages were initially taken. By Monday, all 20 remaining captives were freed, thanks to a ceasefire orchestrated by the Trump administration.
The agreement encountered obstacles from both Hamas and Israel, with Trump expressing his occasional frustration with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu throughout the process.
“Donald Trump’s power worldwide has just increased by about 1,000%,” O’Reilly told “On Balance.”
“He’s going to Korea to talk to Xi. Xi (Jinping) and the Chinese know that he has the Arab world and the Middle East on his side. China needs the Middle East, even though they’re temporarily buying oil from Russia, OK? And Iran, they need the Middle East. They can’t afford to alienate the Arab nations. Trump’s going in with a big advantage.”
According to Reuters, a meeting between Xi and Trump is set to occur in late October in South Korea, and comes following the president’s threat of 100% tariffs on China.
