Billy Zane reveals why he's not in touch with this 'Titanic' co-star

Billy Zane has decided to let it go.

The actor, 59, who played Caledon Hockley in “Titanic,” admits that he doesn’t rewatch the 1997 blockbuster hit, which won an Oscar for best picture.

“No, but I receive photos. When the show is on, my phone is bombarded because everyone is [sending]. I have more images of flat screen TVs in nondescript rooms. It’s like, ‘Hey, you’re on!’” Zane exclusively shared with The Post during the red carpet premiere of his new Western, “Day of Reckoning.”

The movie centers on a struggling artist named Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio), who finds love with Rose Dewitt Bukater (Kate Winslet), a wealthy debutante, while both are on board the “unsinkable” RMS Titanic in 1912.

The James Cameron-directed drama also starred Kathy Bates, Bill Paxton, Frances Fisher, Gloria Stuart and Victor Garber.

Although Zane may not be pressing play on the iconic film, he does, however, keep in touch with some of the star-studded cast.

“Frances and Leo. Kate not as much because she lives in England, I see her occasionally. Kathy. Rochelle [Rose].”

In 2022, Zane reflected on his time on “Titanic” in honor of the movie’s 25th anniversary.

“It’s a great honor, to be honest. It’s a wonderful film and it holds up,” he told Vulture.

“During production, I had the feeling that we were making something significant,” Zane said about the project that took home 11 Academy Awards.

Speaking further, the star of “Waltzing With Brando” remarked, “I think that sentiment was felt by some members of the cast and crew. Others, I believe, were slightly anxious about the outcome, which is understandable. I wouldn’t say they were doubtful, but certainly preoccupied. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to appreciate the enormity of the project.”

These days, Zane has a slew of iconic roles under his belt, and is now set to star in the action-packed film from director Shaun Silva.

“It was thrilling to play. I’ve done quite a few [Westerns]. This one is really fun because it has all the tropes of a classic but really seeped in a modern tale,” he told the Post. “Complete with hip-hop western music underneath and wicked gunplay. Really great characters. But the same dynamics, the same kind of archetypes with a slightly skewed moral compass.”

“So things aren’t what they seem,” he went on. “So as a character study, it’s fascinating.”

“We’re so excited about the film. It’s coming out in the summertime in theaters. It’s been a passion project of mine for like six years. We really wanted to tell the story,” Zane gushed. “The only way to play him was as if he would, which is to not give a heck!”

“Day of Reckoning” hits theaters March 28.
