Bison Charges Child in Alarming Incident at Yellowstone National Park

An intense moment unfolded at Yellowstone National Park as a child narrowly escaped a charging bison, leaving visitors shaken by the unexpected wildlife encounter.

Captured by Brittany Peteler, the video begins with a woman walking past the massive creature, seemingly oblivious to its presence as it ambles towards a nearby boardwalk. She crosses to safety without incident.

Just when Peteler thinks the danger has passed, a second group, including children, ventures unwittingly towards the bison, much to the horror of spectators.

Ignoring the looming threat, the group continues their path until one child suddenly takes off running, triggering the bison to sprint after him momentarily.

This narrow escape echoes a recent incident where a man suffered a bison attack in the very same park located in Wyoming, highlighting the unpredictable nature of these encounters.

According to park officials, “Bison have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal.”

“They are unpredictable, can run three times faster than humans and will defend their space when threatened,” the national park stated. “Wild animals can be aggressive when people do not respect their space. Visitors are responsible for staying at least 25 yards away from all large animals, including bison, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, moose and coyotes.”
