LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – A day after human remains were found in the trunk of a Tesla impounded at a Hollywood tow yard, police confirmed the discovery of another set of remains at a different tow yard.

Detectives responded to a S&J Wilshire Tow in Chesterfield, a neighborhood in South L.A., around noon, and later requested two arson investigators and a police photographer, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.

The body of a partially burnt person was found inside a Honda Civic impounded in the yard around Aug. 25, according to a law enforcement source who spoke to the L.A. Times.

Details are limited and investigators were still on the scene as of Tuesday afternoon, but the Honda is reportedly connected to a missing persons investigation and not tied to the Hollywood tow yard death investigation.

Aerial footage of the South L.A. tow yard showed two canopies over the Civic, with at least one detective who appeared to be speaking with employees at the yard.

The car reportedly has some apparent fire damage.

Police cordoned off a portion of Gage Avenue in front of the tow yard with yellow crime scene tape, where two patrol cruisers and L.A. Fire Department vehicles were seen.

No information was provided about how the body was discovered, nor have investigators released any information on the approximate age or gender of the victim.

Monday’s grisly discovery of partially dismembered remains came after employees at Hollywood Tow reported a foul stench coming from a Tesla parked on the roof of the tow yard parking structure.

The remains, according to The Times, were described as a “head and torso” found inside a bag in the Tesla’s trunk.

LAPD said the vehicle had been towed from the Hollywood Hills location about five days prior after it was reported as abandoned.

TMZ was the first to report that the Tesla the body was found in was registered to popular musician D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. The singer is currently on tour and has reportedly been cooperating with police.
