According to the La Crosse Police Department, around 10:30 a.m. on July 23, the department was notified by the Houston County Sheriff’s Department (Minnesota) that a body was found. The release said the body that was recovered was Eliotte Heinz.

The body was recovered in the Mississippi River near Brownsville, Minnesota. Police are continuing to investigate and will reportedly await the results of an autopsy for an official cause of death.
