A well-known bodybuilder, whose father is a prominent homicide investigator, was discovered dead in a Mexican bar bathroom from gunshot wounds, as per reports from the local area.

Grishall Disner, aged 23, was reported to have been heavily drinking at the Mexico City bar late on Wednesday before abruptly heading to the restroom, as reported by the local outlet Record.

Disner, who had achieved victories in both the Mr. Mexico Jr. and Mr. America Jr. competitions in 2023, is identified as the son of Jorge Disner, the homicide commander within the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office, highlighted by the outlet.

Witnesses heard gunshots coming from the men’s room at Kows Bar in the southeastern suburbs of Mexico City and found Disner with gunshot wounds to his head and stomach, according to the report.

The bar was quickly evacuated as police and paramedics rushed to the scene, but Disner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Disner was armed when he entered the bar, according to the Record, which said the death is being investigated as a suicide — even though there were two wounds.

Still, investigators are reviewing security footage from the bar to see if anyone else could have been involved.

Disner’s brother Darshan shared a picture of himself next to the coffin at his funeral on his Instagram and suggested that his brother had taken his own life.

“I love you with all my being, you were everything to me and everyone knows the brotherhood we had but it was your decision to leave me,” he wrote.

After making a name for himself in 2023 with his two separate bodybuilding titles in the 90kg and over category, Disner won the Absoluto Mr. CDMX Jr. championship that same year.
