Fallyn Zerbe, 30, faces numerous charges from multiple agencies, including reckless driving, fleeing or eluding law enforcement and aggravated assault on an officer.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office on Monday released videos of a high-speed chase that occurred earlier this month, beginning in St. Johns County and ending in Jacksonville, which led to the arrest of a woman facing multiple felony charges.
SJSO said Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested Fallyn Zerbe, 30, following the crash, as she faces numerous charges from multiple agencies, including reckless driving, fleeing or eluding law enforcement and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
On Aug. 6 around 2:30 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said SJSO deputies attempted to stop Zerbe, saying she was speeding and recklessly driving. SJSO said deputies observed Zerbe driving at a high rate of speed on Interstate 95.
SJSO added that Zerbe began to drive in a reckless manner and attempted to collide with patrol vehicles and citizens while fleeing deputies. JSO said Zerbe was driving over 100 mph and was seen holding a hammer out of her window.
FHP then joined in on the chase, and requested assistance from JSO on I-95 at the Duval County line, JSO said.
The pursuit continued north on I-95 through Jacksonville’s Southside and downtown area, JSO said, and ended when a JSO officer performed a PIT maneuver on Zerbe’s vehicle on the interstate at the Trout River.
Around 3:05 p.m. the day of the incident, JSO said officers took Zerbe into custody.
According to Duval County court records, Zerbe will be in court for her arraignment on Aug. 28 for six felony charges and three misdemeanor charges.
As of Tuesday, Aug. 19, she remains in the Duval County Jail, with a bond set at $407,527.
