Actress and model Barbara Bach appeared almost unrecognizable during a rare public outing in Los Angeles earlier this week.
Now 80, Bach remains best known for playing a memorable Bond girl in one of the James Bond franchise’s most celebrated films of the 1970s.
She also appeared alongside Harrison Ford at the early stage of his rise as a major Hollywood leading man.
Although Bach built her reputation as a film actress, she first found success as a model during the 1960s. She later auditioned for Charlie’s Angels but did not land a role in the series.
Away from the screen, she is married to one of the most influential rock stars of the 1960s.

Barbara Bach looked dramatically different during a rare Los Angeles appearance earlier this week.
The 80-year-old actress rose to international fame as a Bond girl in a beloved 1970s installment of the long-running spy franchise.
Before becoming an actress, she was a sought-after model and later married one of the 1960s’ most iconic rock musicians. Can you guess who she is?
The star is model, actress and Bond girl Barbara Bach.
Bach achieved her biggest screen success in 1977, when she played a leading role in the James Bond adventure The Spy Who Loved Me.
She is also married to Ringo Starr, the former Beatles drummer.
The Daily Mail said it had contacted a representative for Starr for comment, but had not received a response at the time of publication.
During her outing, Bach looked remarkably youthful in a relaxed outfit consisting of a black linen jacket, coordinating T-shirt and olive cargo trousers.
She tucked her long black hair beneath a black baseball cap and completed the look with a black handbag.
Bach was born Barbara Goldbach in 1946 in the Rosedale neighborhood of Queens, New York.
After shortening her last name, she became a sought-after fashion model in the 1960s, appearing on the covers of publications including American Vogue, photographed by Richard Avedon, French ELLE and Seventeen.

Bach made the jump to acting in 1968, when she played Nausicaa in an adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey shot for Italian TV, with Franco Rossi directing and Dino de Laurentiis producing.
In the early ’70s, she primarily worked on Italian productions, including comedies, crime thrillers and giallo horror films.
Years before she starred in The Spy Who Loved Me, she appeared in the Italian horror film Black Belly of the Tarantula with fellow Bond girls Claudine Auger – of Thunderball fame – and Barbara Bouchet, who had appeared in the 1967 version of Casino Royale.
Bach’s role as Anya Amasova in The Spy Who Loved Me increased her stature, as the film was praised by fans and critics after a string of divisive Bond films in the late ’60s and ’70s.
A year later, she starred with Harrison Ford and Robert Shaw in the sequel Force 10 from Navarone.
However, even with her high-profile Bond film, Bach continued acting primarily in Italian and European films until the ’80s, and she largely stepped away from the screen by the middle of that decade.
In 1980, she met former Beatle Ringo Starr, and the two were married at Marylebone Town Hall in April 1981.
Bach and Starr later checked into rehab together in 1988 after she had struggled with drug and alcohol use for years, and the two have since remained sober. In 1991, she joined Pattie Boyd, the ex-wife of both George Harrison and his friend Eric Clapton, to co-found the Self Help Addiction Recovery Program (SHARP).
