Adding to an already sorrowful situation, Savannah Blackstock Lee, the 23-year-old daughter of the late Brandon Blackstock, announced earlier this summer that she’s expecting her second child.
This announcement follows the death of Blackstock – who was married to Clarkson from 2013 until 2022 – at the age of 48, which was reported on Thursday.
Originally from Florida and working in real estate, Savannah shared in a July Instagram post that she and her husband, Quentin Lee, had been ‘keeping a couple sweet surprises.’
Savannah said, ‘One little girl will be making her arrival at the beginning of January and another beautiful girl named Julianna who has already been one of the greatest blessings to our family.’
Savannah spoke about her faith in the post on her Instagram account, which has since been set to private.
‘The Lord has been so faithful,’ Savannah said. ‘He’s written a story we never could’ve imagined, and His kindness in this season has left us in awe.’

Compounding an already tragic situation, the late Brandon Blackstock’s 23-year-old daughter revealed she’s pregnant with her second child earlier this summer. The father and daughter were pictured with Blackstock’s ex-wife Kelly Clarkson in 2018 in Las Vegas

She continued: ‘He’s answered prayers we never even knew how to pray.’
This journey has been so special full of peace, excitement, and so much grace. We’re growing again, and our hearts are so full. Thank you, Jesus.’
Savannah, who is Blackstock’s daughter with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth, and Lee are also parents of a three-year-old son named Lake.
Blackstock and Ashworth, who were wed from 2001 to 2012, also were parents to a 19-year-old son named Seth.
Blackstock and Clarkson welcomed daughter River, 10, and son Remington, eight.
Blackstock’s family released a statement detailing the sad situation: ‘It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away.
‘Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.’
The statement concluded: ‘We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.’

Clarkson on Wednesday took to the social media site to announce she was postponing a Las Vegas residency amid the difficult family situation.
‘Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,’ the Where Have You Been artist wrote.
She added, ‘While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.
‘I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.’
Clarkson, the winner of the inaugural American Idol, remained ‘devastated’ at the news of her ex-husband’s passing.
‘When she found out that he was sick, she remained protective of him for their sake,’ a source told People.
