On a seemingly ordinary Sunday morning, the boy was aboard his family’s boat when he spotted a nearby vessel in peril as it capsized amidst the breaking waves. Acting swiftly, he flagged down a jet skier to aid the distressed individuals, showcasing remarkable composure beyond his years.
At approximately 10:25 a.m., the Oceanside Fire Department reported that a 25-foot powerboat had overturned at the mouth of the harbor, casting five people into the churning waters. Lifeguards stationed at Tower 14 on Oceanside Harbor Beach immediately witnessed the incident and sprang into action, coordinating a swift rescue operation.
